I do not live close to a Kvell Fitness facility, do you have anything I can do?

Not a problem! We offer many online and distance programs to ensure that you have no limitations in your ability to Kvell. If you are want to optimize your health and fitness but you do not live near a Kvell Facility go to our contact page and we will figure out a program that will work for you.

I cannot make it to a Kvell facility on a regular basis because of my crazy travel and work schedule, do you have anything for me?

Yes, we do. Some programs that are good options for you include our online nutrition coaching, online workout design and training program, or our high-performance coaching services.

I ONLY need help with my nutrition, can you help?

Absolutely! Nutrition coaching is one of our specialties. Without proper nutrition, it is impossible to achieve optimal health, wellbeing, and performance. We are passionate about helping people create lifelong sustainable nutrition habits. We do this through our many nutrition coaching programs. Click on the “Contact Us” tab to get in touch with us to discuss the nutrition program that is the best fit for you.

Do you have showers?

No. Our clients make it work. Some of them take a bird bath in the bathroom sink, some take pride in their sweatiness, and MOST go back home to shower or have a shower in their office building. We do have changing rooms.

When are you going to have a Kvell Fitness and Nutrition in Meridian Idaho?

Due to COVID we closed our Meridian Kvell and Eagle Kvell locations.  However, as soon as things pick back up we will be looking to re-expand. We are always looking at the possibility of opening more locations.

When are you going to bring Kvell Fitness and Nutrition [insert state]?

As soon as it makes sense for us as a business. We have people who have experience our program from Alaska to New York who keep bugging us to open a Kvell facility in their state. We plan on it as soon as it makes sense from a business standpoint. Until then if you do not live in a state where a Kvell facility resides you can contact us in regards to our distance programs.

What do I need to bring to workouts?

We provide all of the necessary equipment.  However, a few things that you may want to bring include a water bottle, hand towel to wipe sweat from your brow, and hair tie.  We also require you wear squeaky clean shoes to ensure the training floor stays pristine for all to enjoy and bath in all of its beauty.

Will I be sore?

It depends but most likely.  It is never our goal to make you sore.  Being sore is a result of microtrauma at the cellular level caused by forcing your body to do things it hasn’t done in awhile or hasn’t done at a specific level in quite some time if ever.  We try hard to mitigate your soreness by ensuring you do not overexert yourself the first few sessions you train with us.  If you are consistent worker-outer before joining Kvell then you will probably only feel a small amount of soreness.  If you are brand new to working out or you haven’t worked out in two or more weeks then your soreness may be a little more severe.  Again, we highly encourage you to do less than you feel or think you can do for at least the first week.  We have plenty of time to go full throttle once your body is ready.  Going full throttle before your body is ready can lead to injury and a soreness that you probably thought could only be inflicted by god almighty.

How do I speed up the recovery process and reduce muscular soreness or DOMS (Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness)?

DOMS, DA, DOM, DOM, DOMS.  Our old friend delayed onset muscle soreness is like a wolf in sheep’s clothing.  It lays in the cut until day two after your workout and then it springs on you like the furry of millions of African army ants devouring your soul to live in sheer seconds.  A few things that will help tremendously in the rapid reduction of DOMS.  Drink water, at least half of your body weight in ounces (closer to 0.7 ounces per pound of body weight is better).  Walk, walk, and walk some more.  The more you can get and keep your blood moving the better.  Take a twenty-minute warm Epsom salt bath.  Do another workout utilizing the same muscles to “work the soreness out”.   Lastly, for prevention purposes never allow yourself to go more than one week without some form of exercise.

Do you offer athlete training, personal training, corporate wellness, etc?

Yes.  We offer everything you could ever imagine when it comes to general health, fitness, and nutrition.  We do not offer specific training in areas like strongman training, bodybuilding, and figure competitions.  Nearly everything outside of those three specialties we offer or can offer if it makes sense.  For a more detailed list of what we specialize, go to the Contact Us page.

Do you offer programs for children who are not sports athletes or after school programs?

Yes.  We are passionate about helping children understand and enjoy the benefits of exercise and healthy eating.  We love to facilitate after-school programs to ensure children are getting their required daily activity and having fun while doing it.  To learn more about all of the programs we have available go to our Contact Us page.

Does Brett ever smile?

In person.  No.  For pictures, sometimes.  Don’t take it personally.  This does not mean he doesn’t like you or isn’t happy.  It just means that he is so deeply entrenched in figuring out how to improve the service of Kvell that he forgot to tell his face he was happy, thus the stoic appearance that he is so infamous for is because there is not a moment of the day where he is not actively working to determine a better more efficient way to serve the clients of Kvell and the world.  🙂 All jokes aside Brett is passionate about helping you achieve your goals.

Kvell is the best gym in Boise to not use the equipment. We don’t need any equipment to work out here. We have in-person and online memberships. If you’re doing an online membership then you don’t need any equipment. If you have any equipment in the main thing we’ll need is mainly resistance bands. But you don’t need resistance bands. You don’t need resistance bands. But it will help you so you can get a more challenging work out. But you also don’t need to. If you don’t want to use any equipment you don’t need to. I loved one that is done with your own body weight. So you don’t need to use any equipment. If you use the equipment and you can to make it more challenging but you don’t have to. Most of our workouts right now aren’t using the equipment. You don’t want you to use equipment because you don’t want you to share equipment. When we’re in person you want to bring your own equipment. When you’re in person and want to bring your own you don’t have to use any and all. If using any they recommend buying some resistance bands. But that’s all you really need. That’s all I really need to get a good workout in. But you really don’t need it. You don’t need resistance bands to get a good workout in. You can use your own body weight. Using your own bodyweight will still help you strengthen your muscles or tendons and ligaments. You’re going to get stronger in your own body weight as well.

You’re also going to do more endurance training when you’re using your own body weight. That means you’re going to be doing more reps of everything and you’re going to sweat more. That’s one of our memberships online. One of our sessions online is a cardio Core workout. That means it’s going to focus on cardio and is going to focus on workouts. You don’t need any equipment for either of those. Kvell is the best gym in Boise to not use any equipment. You don’t need to bring tons of stuff to the gym. All you need to do is bring in your own body and you need to donate each and every time you’re going to get a good workout in. He can do more endurance when you’re only using your own body weight. You can go on a run for an hour and a half but you can also just do one of these cardio Core workouts to get the same workout.

You don’t need to be on an elliptical for 4 hours. You don’t need to be on a treadmill for hours. Going to get the same endurance training without it. You are going to be getting stronger and getting more endurance training with Kvell. That is our goal. Want you to get stronger and gain more endurance. When you get stronger and gain more endurance than you’ll be able to go and do your everyday activities better. Will you be able to do everything better? But it all takes time. It will take time for you to gain endurance but if you focus on your nutrition and focus on your health and focus on exercising you’re going to get better. You’re going to be able to go on longer runs. Going to be able to go on longer hikes. You are going to be able to go on a longer skiing trip.

Not using any equipment is good for times like these. A lot of people don’t have extra dumbbells laying around the house. A lot of people don’t have extra resistance bands laying around the house. I don’t need to buy it. I understand that money is tight for a lot of people right now. You don’t need to buy any of it. We have all bodyweight movements that you can do in person. And if you come into the session and you don’t have anything then you can borrow what we have and sanitize it. Kvell is the best gym in Boise. I did not use any equipment because you don’t need it. Best Gym in Boise | Functional Fitness Places?

Kvell is the best gym in Boise for functional fitness. We are functional fitness because we make sure that you can increase your endurance and strength for your everyday activities. It’s functional because it’s the stuff that you can do at home. His stuff you can do at the gym. Is minimal equipment and it takes minimal out of you? It does all challenging but their basic movements. Going to be doing squats really going to be doing lunges. Going to be doing multiple movements at the same time to make sure that you get the best workout possible. The challenging and effective workout that’s going to get you results. But it’s also functional fitness. This means you’re not going to get into it. It means it’s low impact on High reward movements. You were going to be doing three different levels. It all depends on what your fitness level is. But if you’re level one then you’re going to be using mainly your own body weight. Level one is for you to figure out what weights are good for you. You also figure out if you anyways are good for you. And you want to make sure that you’re not using too much weight so you can strengthen your tendons and ligaments without getting injured. Want to make sure your tendons and ligaments are done before moving out because you don’t want you to get injured. We also want to make sure your muscles are stronger as well. Your muscles will get stronger with all the wine. Your tendons and ligaments will also get stronger. But it all takes time. It takes three to six months. And ligaments to be strong enough to move on the level two movements.

Doing everyday tasks will make sure your tendons and ligaments are strong. You don’t need to be going to the gym for three to six months just to make sure your tendons and ligaments are strong enough to do level two. But you also want to make sure that they’re strong enough. A non-scientific way to make sure they’re strong enough to see if you’re wobbly. If you’re probably doing a lunge then move down to level one movement. If you’re probably in your knees when you’re doing a squat and moving down. But if you’re not wobbly than you can move up here because Kvell is the best gym in Boise for functional fitness because we want to make sure that you were able to do and function properly. We want to make sure that you’re able to do each movement without getting injured. We want to make sure that we modify it for one that means modifications. If your knees hurt when you do something then don’t do it. Just let the coach know when we’ll be able to modify it.

Functional fitness means you’re going to be able to learn what the Forum feels like. Once you learn the form it feels like because once you learn with the form it feels like then you’re going to be able to do it outside. I am going to be able to do it when there’s not a person around. You’re going to be able to do it when there’s not me around. That’s why we don’t have any mirrors at Kvell. We don’t have anymore because he wants to learn what the phone feels like rather than looks like. If you’re relying on a mirror to fix your form they’re not going to be able to do it on your everyday activities. If you need to lift the couch because you’re moving any do it wrong then that means your form wasn’t right. But we want to make sure your phone is correct. Want to make sure your phone is cracked when you do those movements so then you can go and move a couch without getting injured.

When you can move a couch without getting injured and lifted up above your head if you need to. That is what we are. Kvell is the best gym in Boise for functional fitness because You’ll be doing low-impact Harwood movements. We want you to do low-impact hardwood we’ve been so you don’t get injured. If you get injured then you’re not consistent. But want you to stay healthy and want you to knock it in so that’s why we don’t do anything crazy. We don’t do any high-risk movements. It’s not worth it. A lot of people do that in a lot of gems do that because they want to show off. But it’s not worth it for us.
