Getting a challenging workout is good. But we also want you to take it easy sometimes as well. It’s all about balance. We rock wants you to come in and go hard every other day. We don’t want you to overdo it. I want you to get a challenging workout every other day because then you’ll probably have time to recover and rest. Do you want your body to rest because we want you to build up your muscles. If you are constantly working hard and constantly going 100% every single day for 2 hours then you’re going to break down your muscles and they will never never build back up. Your muscles will continue to break down and soon you’ll get injured.
In order to get stronger muscles in order to build your tendons and ligaments you need to give your body some time to recover as well. So you’re going to get a challenging workout on Monday and then actively recover on Tuesday. Going to get a challenging work out on Wednesday and then ask for cover on Thursday. I’m going to get a challenging workout on Friday and then recover on the weekend. I can recover does not mean sit around and do nothing. Active recovery means going and going on a walk. Are going on a hike. I’m getting my body moving. Flushing up the lactic acid. Maybe during one of our warm ups that we have.
