When you replace the toilet paper are you supposed to have the end of the roll hanging from the front of the roll or back of the roll?

And maybe more importantly does it matter?

For me, yes.  I can’t stand when the end of the toilet paper is hanging from the back.

Now, before we get too far into my philosophical diatribe on toilet paper hanging let’s face the facts.

According to maxim.com…

“…there’s a documented correct way to place toilet paper onto the holder — which is in the “over” position. Seriously — the 1891 patent for the toilet paper roll literally states that the end of the roll should be hanging off the exterior, so there’s that.

Now that that’s settled let’s move on to how this works in life.

People often ask me have you heard of X guru and what are your thoughts on him?

Here’s my blanket answer…

I think they have a lot of good things to offer and take their advice with a grain of salt.
You are not them and they are not you.

You do not know their full story and it is not likely the one they are telling.

Take what is useful and discard what is not.

Back to hanging your toilet paper.

Listen, I don’t even like toilet paper in the first place but it can be useful in certain situations.

Bidets are a more cleanly and thorough way to handle your business than toilet paper as a general rule.

You may like your toilet paper on the back of the toilet, or hanging from the ceiling, or maybe you use wet wipes…

…the only person that this matters to is you.

When it comes to life and toilet paper learn from others, experiment, and find what feels and hangs right for you.
