Kvell Fitness and Nutrition’s staff uses checklist for every single thing that we do here. We have checklists and to-do lists for each task we have, for everything we need to get done that day and for our lives outside of work. Creating to do lists for your week or for each day is a great way to relieve some stress, stay motivated and get things done. If you make a todo list at the beginning of each day, you can see what things on the list are a priority, and figure out what you need to do that day and when. Some people use an ABC list, which is where they write out what they need to get done that day. Then they go and use A for top priority, B for get it done and C, get it done if you have time but it can wait. 

A lot of people go into their day stressed out and thinking they have tons of things to do. Once they write down their to do list it doesn’t seem as challenging to get everything done. When it is out of your brain and on a piece of paper or on your phone you can take a look at it and analyze what really needs to be done that day. Kvell is the best gym in Eagle to get things done. When your list says you have A B and C to do, then you can figure out what is most important and see what other things can wait so the day doesn’t feel as stressful. Once you are checking each task off that day then the other things in the C category don’t seem as challenging to get done. 

Checklists for each task you have that day are also very convenient because it takes the thought out of doing something. If you have a checklist for the things you need to do at work, you don’t have to think about what to do next anymore, you just take a look at the list and follow it. It takes the guesswork out, and it also ensures you don’t miss any steps. That’s the same with to do lists, once you think about what you need to do, it leaves room in your brain to think of other things without getting stressed out. And it ensures you haven’t forgotten to do anything that day because it is on paper. 

Checking things off your to do list is super motivating as well, if you get in the habit of checking everything off then it makes your days less stressful and you can analyze just how much time it takes to do certain tasks. Such as going to the gym on your to do list. You know it only takes 45 minutes, maybe an hour at most. And you only need to go three times a week. If you make a to do list for the week then you only need that on three out of your 5 days. If you just continue to think about how you need to go to the gym that week, but don’t prioritize it, then you won’t get it done. Once it’s on paper that you are going to the gym Monday, Wednesday and Friday, then you will have space in your day to go and get it done.
