I do not live close to a Kvell Fitness facility, do you have anything I can do?

Not a problem! We offer many online and distance programs to ensure that you have no limitations in your ability to Kvell. If you are want to optimize your health and fitness but you do not live near a Kvell Facility go to our contact page and we will figure out a program that will work for you.

I cannot make it to a Kvell facility on a regular basis because of my crazy travel and work schedule, do you have anything for me?

Yes, we do. Some programs that are good options for you include our online nutrition coaching, online workout design and training program, or our high-performance coaching services.

I ONLY need help with my nutrition, can you help?

Absolutely! Nutrition coaching is one of our specialties. Without proper nutrition, it is impossible to achieve optimal health, wellbeing, and performance. We are passionate about helping people create lifelong sustainable nutrition habits. We do this through our many nutrition coaching programs. Click on the “Contact Us” tab to get in touch with us to discuss the nutrition program that is the best fit for you.

Do you have showers?

No. Our clients make it work. Some of them take a bird bath in the bathroom sink, some take pride in their sweatiness, and MOST go back home to shower or have a shower in their office building. We do have changing rooms.

When are you going to have a Kvell Fitness and Nutrition in Meridian Idaho?

Due to COVID we closed our Meridian Kvell and Eagle Kvell locations.  However, as soon as things pick back up we will be looking to re-expand. We are always looking at the possibility of opening more locations.

When are you going to bring Kvell Fitness and Nutrition [insert state]?

As soon as it makes sense for us as a business. We have people who have experience our program from Alaska to New York who keep bugging us to open a Kvell facility in their state. We plan on it as soon as it makes sense from a business standpoint. Until then if you do not live in a state where a Kvell facility resides you can contact us in regards to our distance programs.

What do I need to bring to workouts?

We provide all of the necessary equipment.  However, a few things that you may want to bring include a water bottle, hand towel to wipe sweat from your brow, and hair tie.  We also require you wear squeaky clean shoes to ensure the training floor stays pristine for all to enjoy and bath in all of its beauty.

Will I be sore?

It depends but most likely.  It is never our goal to make you sore.  Being sore is a result of microtrauma at the cellular level caused by forcing your body to do things it hasn’t done in awhile or hasn’t done at a specific level in quite some time if ever.  We try hard to mitigate your soreness by ensuring you do not overexert yourself the first few sessions you train with us.  If you are consistent worker-outer before joining Kvell then you will probably only feel a small amount of soreness.  If you are brand new to working out or you haven’t worked out in two or more weeks then your soreness may be a little more severe.  Again, we highly encourage you to do less than you feel or think you can do for at least the first week.  We have plenty of time to go full throttle once your body is ready.  Going full throttle before your body is ready can lead to injury and a soreness that you probably thought could only be inflicted by god almighty.

How do I speed up the recovery process and reduce muscular soreness or DOMS (Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness)?

DOMS, DA, DOM, DOM, DOMS.  Our old friend delayed onset muscle soreness is like a wolf in sheep’s clothing.  It lays in the cut until day two after your workout and then it springs on you like the furry of millions of African army ants devouring your soul to live in sheer seconds.  A few things that will help tremendously in the rapid reduction of DOMS.  Drink water, at least half of your body weight in ounces (closer to 0.7 ounces per pound of body weight is better).  Walk, walk, and walk some more.  The more you can get and keep your blood moving the better.  Take a twenty-minute warm Epsom salt bath.  Do another workout utilizing the same muscles to “work the soreness out”.   Lastly, for prevention purposes never allow yourself to go more than one week without some form of exercise.

Do you offer athlete training, personal training, corporate wellness, etc?

Yes.  We offer everything you could ever imagine when it comes to general health, fitness, and nutrition.  We do not offer specific training in areas like strongman training, bodybuilding, and figure competitions.  Nearly everything outside of those three specialties we offer or can offer if it makes sense.  For a more detailed list of what we specialize, go to the Contact Us page.

Do you offer programs for children who are not sports athletes or after school programs?

Yes.  We are passionate about helping children understand and enjoy the benefits of exercise and healthy eating.  We love to facilitate after-school programs to ensure children are getting their required daily activity and having fun while doing it.  To learn more about all of the programs we have available go to our Contact Us page.

Does Brett ever smile?

In person.  No.  For pictures, sometimes.  Don’t take it personally.  This does not mean he doesn’t like you or isn’t happy.  It just means that he is so deeply entrenched in figuring out how to improve the service of Kvell that he forgot to tell his face he was happy, thus the stoic appearance that he is so infamous for is because there is not a moment of the day where he is not actively working to determine a better more efficient way to serve the clients of Kvell and the world.  🙂 All jokes aside Brett is passionate about helping you achieve your goals.

Kvell is the best gym in Boise to use our equipment. You are going to be able to use our equipment because we have multiple different kinds of equipment. We have done better. We have kettlebells. We have resistance bands. Or jungle gyms. We have all the different kinds of equipment and you can use it all. We have all different kinds of weights and all different sizes so it doesn’t matter what you want you will still be able to get a good workout in. You can use our equipment whenever you would like. For at-home workouts for even letting you borrow the equipment. You can buy the equipment because we want you to get a good workout wherever you are. We want you to get started wherever you are. When you get started then it’s going to be really good. Getting started is the best way to do it. And it doesn’t matter where you get started. Just getting started at home. If you’re getting started hit the gym. You can use our equipment whenever. We have dumbbells. It doesn’t matter what kind of double you want. If you have to represent bills. We have metal dumbbells. We have all different kinds of dumbbells. All different size dumbbells because we know that everyone has different fitness levels. We have dumbbells ranging from 8 lb all the way to 75 lb. If you want to do two dumbbells at a time you can do that as well. Do you need as many as you’d like?

You can use a magic weapon because Dumbbells are good for our movements. Dumbbells are good for leg movements. Dumbbells are good for all different kinds of movement. You can even do ab workouts with dumbbells. That’s why we use dumbbells. We don’t have a lot of equipment. We don’t have any machines. We don’t have any rubbers. We don’t have any ellipticals. We don’t have any treadmills. We only have Necessities. We only have two things that you need to use. You can even get these things at home. Kvell is the best gym in Boise to use our equipment because all the stuff you can get at home and then workout at home if you’d like as well.

If you already have these things and you are more likely able to do one of these workouts at home. If you want to, you can do the workout in your bathroom. You can do the workout out your side. You can do the work out in your backyard. You can do the work out with your dog. You can do the work out with your kids. If you’re doing the workouts with her kids then the kids will treat it like PE. It’ll be a good PE workout. If you’re treating them you’re teaching them at home then this could be a PE break. But it’s all up to you. I could recess for him. They might enjoy it. You can do the workouts forever. All you need is your body weight. For most workouts, I need your body weight. But if you need equipment and go for it and they get some equipment.

You can borrow equipment and then do the workouts outside. You can do the workouts on your front porch. You can do the workouts in your living room. You can do the work that’s why we feel comfortable. Kvell is the best gym in Boise because if you don’t want to do the work out right now and you can do and wait till we do in-person sessions. Kvell is the Best Gym in Boise to get sweaty. Getting sweaty will help you detox. Detoxing can help as well. Getting sweaty is really good for you. When you get sweaty then you’re going to be able to drink more water. When you get sweaty you’re going to detox. When you detox and everyone feels better. Getting salty means you’re losing weight. Getting sweaty means you’re burning calories. And you will get sweaty at Kvell. You’re going to get sweaty and that’s okay. We don’t have anymore so you can’t see why we’re sweaty. Getting sweaty is good. We don’t have any mirrors that cuz I was so you don’t need to worry about getting too sweaty. A lot of people don’t like seeing themselves when they’re sweating. A lot of people don’t like it because they are embarrassed. But there’s nothing to be embarrassed about when you sweat. Sweating is good. Bring a gray shirt that you might sweat a little more. It all depends on what you are wearing. If you are wearing a shirt that shows some sweat that’s okay. You can wear whatever you would like at Kvell. If you want to work clothes that show sweat go for it. We don’t judge you here. At least a mounted mental gym in the area.

We’re very non-judgmental and we want to make sure that you get a good workout in. When you get a good workout in it means you’re working hard. We want to work to make sure you’re working hard. Kvell is the best gym in Boise to get sweaty because getting sweaty means you’re losing weight. Getting sweaty means you’re burning calories. Getting so that means you’re burning calories and getting stronger. Getting sweaty means you’re working hard and that is good. We encourage everyone to work hard. We don’t want you to look in the mirror and think you didn’t work hard.

We Don’t Want You to not feel accomplished. I want you to feel accomplished and want you to feel appreciated each and every time you come in. Getting sweaty might mean your hair might get a little dirty. Your hair might get dirty. And that’s okay. Your hair will get dirty and you might get a little smelly. Sweat doesn’t actually smell but it’s the bacteria on your skin that smells. Might be You might smell a little but that’s okay. At the end of the week, 3 everyone smells. Week 1 people might not sweat that much. Week one is the practice week in the learning week. Week one is so we can take it easy.

Which one is the easy way? I just saw the recovery week. But then his week to make sure you come along you might be sweating. I work out the really challenging so you will sweat. I want to make sure you’re working hard and getting a good workout in. When you get a good workout in and that means you’re being accomplished in there you’ll leave feeling good.
