The first day of the year and even more the first day of a decade.

Today is a magical day.  The penultimate “fresh start” day.  The only thing better would be the first day of the century.

What are you going to do over the next 10 years?  How much are you going to accomplish?  Who will you become?  What will you spend the next ten years doing?

What will you do today to get started on your decade long mission?  Don’t waste today.

If health is on your list what will you do today to build momentum?  Will you workout, eat more vegetables, or take a walk?

If saving money is a goal how much will you save TODAY?

You have the power of time and compounding interest on your side.  Compounding interest works for all areas of life, not just money.  Let’s use the snowball rolling down the hill example.

You start with one snowflake (be it a workout, a tiny habit, or $1) sticking to another and another and another as it gains momentum rolling down the hill of this decade creating an enormous ball of nearly unstoppable snow by the time we reach 2030.

Get to work now and you will barely be able to recognize the person you are today or the amount you have accomplished looking back from the person you are in 2030.

Celebrate today and enjoy the day while also taking a tiny action to build and push your snowball(s) down the hill.
